Pightle House

Project Status: Planning

A paragraph 80 home which celebrates its setting within a traditionally farmed landscape. This local farming family were keen to maximise the potential ecological improvements of the land, which the design has achieved through an astounding 49% increase in biodiversity net gain.

The local landscape character is defined, in part, by its waterways which the landscape strategy has celebrated through the creation of wetlands, attenuation ponds and swales. These tie into a wider strategy to reduce flooding further downstream and facilitate habitat creation within the waterways which adjoin the site.

This has been a true collaboration with both a multidisciplinary team and government bodies to ensure an innovative and landscape-led approach.
